Spring & Summer 2012 Trends!

Hi all!

MY FINALS ARE OVER! Yayyyyyyyyy! (lol) Anyway, since it's the middle of Spring and almost Summer, I wanted to share a few fashion trends I've been seeing a lot lately.

Pastel colors! Ooooooh I love pastel colors!(: This year, 'mint' is very popular and I'm not surprised because that color is just lovely.

Rose Gold Accessories! A nice rose gold watch is a simple, but great accessory this Spring/Summer. This color will be a pretty match with pastels ^.^

Crossbody bags are perfect for Summer! They're lighter and can match any outfit. Great for trips or a day out

Spring and Summer can be really hot, so jewelry can get tricky. If something is too chunky and big, it can feel heavy and icky. So I love wearing dainty jewelry and stud earrings because they're much lighter and very cute!

Last, but not least ANIMAL PRINTS! I've been seeing this around lately, especially Cheetah print. Animal prints can look really nice with pastel colors; it gives that pop of boldness. I usually wear casual chic outfits, but have one piece of bold accessory(:

Since I only have work now, I have a little more free time. So I'll be doing some shopping soon! YAYYYY :D (lol) I'll definitely have items in my wardrobe following these trends, but I'll be adding a few of my own because... Trends are for inspiration! So my girlies, be a trend-setter and inspire others! (^.~)

I didn't mention this in the list of trends above, but Maxi dresses are very popular this year too. Except I'm kind of on the shorter side, so I don't think they look great on me :/. If you girls have any ideas on how to wear them, leave me a Rawrr! Thanks(;

Online Shopping: Crossbody Bags!

Hi all!

I woke up this afternoon with a bad headache so this post is late, I'm sorry :/. While watching MythBusters, I did a little online shopping (hehe..). In June, I'm taking a trip to Florida with my best girlfriends (WOOTWOOT!!) and we plan on hitting a couple of theme parks. Since I won't be allowed on to the rides with a big bag, I have been "researching" for a cute crossbody bag that's big enough to fit a few things like my phone, a sweater, a water bottle, etc, but small enough that they would let me bring it on the ride. I've been told that if the bag is small enough for me to lean back on during the ride, then they would let me bring it on. Oh, and of course it has to be cross body because a shoulder bag may fling out (and that wouldn't be good..lol). A cross body bag is perfect for trips and sightseeing because you don't have to lug extra things in your hand or on your shoulders. Now I just have to find one that's SUPER CUTE! (lol) So after what seemed like ENDLESS (and I really do mean hours of) searching, I've finally narrowed it down to 4!!

1. DKNY Heritage Vintage Leather Mini Crossbody
This lovely mini is $185. It's actually the cheapest of the 4, but still an average size among them. I like the front okay, but I absolutely love the inside. I'm not sure why, but for some reason I feel like the space is perfect.
The only thing I don't like is that the color is so light. This bag comes in only two colors-- Black or Nude. I don't think the black looks that good, but I'm afraid the Nude will get dirty easily :/. It's so difficult finding the perfect bag.

2. MARC BY MARC JACOBS Crossbody - Classic Q Percy

At $198, this one costs a little more than the DKNY bag, but its soooooo cute!! I love it, love it, love it! Except, it's a little smaller than what I wanted..

Also, bloomingdales only has it in 3 colors-- Hazelnut (the color shown in the above picture, which is actually kind of nice), Black, and Blossom (which sounds like a light pink, but it's more like a fuchsia).

Although, the crossbody strap is not only adjustable, but detachable. I can use it as a clutch for the night time when we hit the clubs and lounges :D!

3. MARC BY MARC JACOBS Crossbody - Classic Q Natasha

This beauty is a little bigger than the Percy, which is great! And again they have it in Hazelnut^^.

The interior is basically the same-- two open pockets and a zipper pocket. It's obviously roomier than both the DKNY one and the Percy, just because of the fact that it is bigger. It can probably fit most of the stuff I would want to take on a day out at the theme parks.

I think the style is really cute with the folded flap and the zipper being at the end of that flap. If I add a classy keychain to the side, I'm sure I can dress it up for the night outs as well. The more I think about it, the more I think I might actually like this one more than the DKNY one now (lol!). BUT, it's also a lot pricier... $368... Why does there always have to be a 'but'?? :'(

 4. MARC BY MARC JACOBS 'Petal to the Metal' Flap Pouchette

It's funny that 3 out of the 4 bags are Marc Jacobs. I do love their style though..

Okay so this cutie is really small... Despite it's size, the price is still more than both the DKNY one and the Percy. But I LOVE the little birdy on the front and the overall vintage feel of the bag. It's very, very small and definitely would not fit what I want to carry around during the trip, but it's so cute that I had to add it on my list! (lol, I just couldn't let it go) It comes in three colors -- Shell, Nude, and Black. I like Nude best because Black is never good for summer and Shell (which is similar to the DKNY bag) is a little too light. They also have a bigger version with this style, but that one is slightly too big for what I need -.-"...
(-sigh- You can never get exactly what you want, can you?)

After all this searching, I think I may settle for either the DKNY one or the Natasha. They both fit most with what I want. Do you have a better recommendation for me?

Leave me a Rawr(: . Thanks!
